C. A. Taylor LLC, Construction Solutions provides general contracting services in the industrial, commercial, retail and agricultural industries throughout central Indiana. We design and develop new buildings along with renovating and expand existing structures. Our dealership with Nucor building systems gives our clients abundant design and clear span options using a pre-engineered metal building. Our tag line is “Construction Solutions” and after 42 years in construction and over 100 years in production agriculture, we have been involved in countless projects that required engineering solutions and “thinking outside the box” to complete the task. Our ability to look at a problem and have the capacity to not only create a solution, but to perform the work and maintain a financial plan, is unique. Our History
Tom Taylor first started the Taylor legacy in 1978, he farmed 400 ac and raised over 200 head of feeder cattle along with a cow calf operation. As a supplement to his farming income he began working for a local home builder as a carpenter. In 1981 he started on his own building anything his local community needed; livestock barns, shops, custom homes and additions. Over the next 32 years he and his wife grew both business and raised 4 children. All of which worked on the farm bailing hay, tending to livestock and the hands-on trades of the construction business. Swinging a hammer, pouring concrete and running equipment was the normal for the Taylor family. All the children were active in sports, 4H, church and loved spending time at the lake fishing and water skiing. 3 graduated from Purdue and 1 from Ball State. In 2001 the oldest son, Clinton returned home from Texas to join Tom in running the business.
Together Tom and Clinton engaged in both farming and construction business activities. Clinton brought new ideas back home from his experience working in commercial construction in Texas. In 2003 a steel building dealership was established with Rockford Steel and the Taylor's started into commercial construction. Many projects followed, in 2009 the need for better supply and customer service was needed and the Nucor Steel Dealership was formed. By 2011 the family farming operation had grown to over 4000ac, Tom fully focused on the farming business and Clinton took ownership of the construction business. In 2012 C. A. Taylor LLC was formed officially.
Today C. A. Taylor LLC is a full-service general contractor. Their strength is in design and development of new and renovations projects in the commercial and industrial marketplace. They utilize their subcontractor base to provide specialized trade work. C.A. Taylor's site supervisors & laborers are trained to self-perform work where they are needed to fill in. They also own and operate a line of equipment and have the ability to self-perform site work, site clearing, demolition and many other trades. Their manpower is diverse with strong work ethics and wisdom over all ASI Divisions. Nucor steel and the Taylor’s have grown together and the dealership is a strong asset to the business.
